what's catchin' my eye

Lately on the blogs, esty and in the malls I've noticed lots of textile jewelry. Fabric covered beads, ribbon, lace, fabric flowers, knitting and crochet...anything seems to go. I've also noticed that many of these types of jewelry are a-symmetrical, which I love. Here are some examples of textile jewelry. (click to picture to find its original source)

Here are a couple necklaces I whipped up today.

I really like working with the strips of fabric because they are like bulky yarn. I'm usually working with tiny and/or time consuming things. This is like instant gratification, I've got a lot more ideas I can't wait to try.
