Inspired by the Anthropologie window display I saw a few weeks ago, I went through my craft closet and dug out all the materials I had in shades of white, cream and grey. While all the puff balls in the display were made of paper and plastics, I decided that I'd try yarn and fabric too. I don't have the money to spend on Christmas/Hannukah decorations this year and I figure I have so many supplies that sit in my closet all year, might as well put them to use!
Here I just took the yarn back and forth, back and forth, back and forth until I thought there was enough fullness.
Tied it off in the center...
...puff!
Here I am cutting the ends of a smaller one, to make a pom-pom look...
...puff!
I'll be sticking to this theme of cream, white and grey puffs to make myself my very own white Christmas in southern California. I've pulled some fabric out already and I'm also going to do some things with paper and plastic materials I find around the house. I can't wait to get a Christmas tree!
